GROUP VISITOR GUIDELINES

Welcome to the Summit County Church of Christ!

A few things to help you during your stay:

• There are showers in the downstairs bathrooms.
• Underneath the bathroom sinks you will find extra paper towels, garbage bags and toilet paper.
• There is a vacuum in the kitchen closet (please use it lots).
• Cleaning supplies can be found under the kitchen sink and in the kitchen closets.
• There are even more paper towels and garbage bags and necessary paper in the back closet in the kitchen.
• Unless you brought your Mommy with you please clean up after yourself!
• Taking trash out to the dumpster every day makes you smell better to the others who are using the building!
• Be sure to always close the dumpster lid unless you like bears up close and personal.

Our Worship times are as follows:

When you stay at our Church Building please plan to worship with us. We always appreciate your visit with us more if we can worship God together. This also gives us an opportunity to get to know you and it can be awkward when people staying in the building do not attend worship.

• Sunday A.M. Bible Classes: 9:00AM.
• Sunday Worship: 10:00A.M.
• Sunday P.M. Worship: 6:00 P.M.
• Wednesday P.M. Bible Study: 7:00 P.M.

Please be sure to have all areas cleaned up and ready for Worship by the following times.

• Sunday AM - 8:00 AM.
• Sunday P.M - 5:00 P.M.
• Wednesday P.M - 6:00 P.M

More General Information:

Things you will need to bring:

1. Your winter clothes (during winter season…jackets for the summer).
2. Your personal hygiene items: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, towel, etc.....
3. Your personal bedding: sleeping bag, sheets, pillow, etc... (Please do not sleep on the mattresses without sheets or a sleeping bag.)
4. Our House – Our Rules (really it’s God’s House so please treat it that way!)

• Our building is to be only used by groups from sponsoring churches of Christ or by other Christian groups with a sponsoring church.
• Please do not use the classrooms or any of the up-stairs for sleeping or personal use without permission from the Church representatives. Our projection equipment is for our worship and is not a home theater! Please don’t touch our equipment. These areas are for our Sunday School Bible Classes & Worship.
• Please do not re-arrange the chairs upstairs. They are placed as required for our Worship and Bible Classes. If they must be re-arranged, please put the chairs back as they were prior to worship services.
• Please do not wear ski boots in the building as they tear up our carpet, you can place ski equipment on the tiled areas downstairs.
• If any of your men would like to participate in the worship duties (prayers, Lord’s Supper, preaching)… please let us know.
• Our kitchen has a refrigerator set aside for your group's use, but you bring what you need to feed your group. Please do not use the grape juice in our refrigerator which we use in our worship.
• The kitchen has utensils, cooking pots and pans (you may use them)
• You will need to supply your own paper plates, cups, etc... (the Church will provide toilet paper, paper towels and trash liners)
• Mattresses are provided, but please do not sleep on the mattresses without your own bedding or sleeping bag.
• Our phones do not allow long distance calls to be made. Have your group members make arrangements for their own long distance calling needs.

Responsibility of the Group to the Church:

The group is responsible for cleaning the facility and leaving it in the same condition and arrangement/setup as it was at the beginning of use. All counter or table surfaces should be cleared and cleaned, all waste baskets emptied, and all trash containers left empty. The kitchen, if used, should be fully cleaned, including sweeping and mopping. Please throw out any food containers. Leftover food tends to get stinky in a Church building when left behind. All trash should be placed in the dumpster south of the building. Leave trash containers with new liners installed for the next folks! Cleaning supplies are located in the closet on the left side of the kitchen. If you have paid a cleaning deposit, the cleaning deposit will be reimbursed, if the building is left in a clean and appropriate condition by the group
Safety Considerations:

• We realize kids are kids; however, parents and group leaders are supposed to be parents and group leaders! Please use good judgment. If any children, including teenagers, are involved in your group, they should be appropriately supervised for everyone’s safety.
• Again a Warning: Please close the dumpster so as not to attract bears!
• There are Emergency Contact Numbers listed by the downstairs phone.

We do have a fireplace downstairs in the Fellowship area and there is firewood outside the shed. Please use with common sense and caution. A chimney fire could cause a major disaster in this area. No firewood cutting is allowed.
